2023 is a huge year for maudlyn monroe.
coming out of a long medical hiatus (you can read a little more at the newsletters) and into the studio, maudlyn monroe has 2 full-length projects set for release, as well as several singles, beginning summer 2023.
working at The Music District in downtown Fort Collins, maudlyn monroe has self-recorded and self-engineered the majority of these releases, as well as playing most of the instruments.
on the upcoming projects, they perform vocals, as well as providing acoustic and electric guitar, banjo, piano, alto and bari saxophone, glockenspiel, percussion, flute, theremin, and in some cases, bass.

the first single off of the upcoming greedy pushy needy; a rousing little tune about Buddhism, capitalism, and that constant nagging sense of never being satisfied even when you’re loved. I’m most excited about the field recordings (elk/cello duet! coyote solos!) and bird calls recorded by my brother (who is also the author of the Peterson Field Guide to Bird Songs of North America)
